Community Stewardship Award
This award recognises an individual, agribusiness, or industry body that has demonstrated a strong commitment to community stewardship in North Queensland’s agricultural sector. Whether through environmental initiatives, workforce development, social responsibility, or community engagement, this nominee goes beyond their core business to make a positive and lasting impact on their local community.
Nominees must demonstrate:
- Commitment to Community Well-being – an individual, grower, agribusiness, or industry body that actively supports their local community through initiatives such as mental health support, education, or charitable contributions.
- Sustainability & Environmental Responsibility – Demonstrated leadership in sustainable farming practices, land stewardship, or conservation efforts that benefit both agriculture and the broader community.
- Advocacy & Industry Leadership – A proactive approach to advocating for the agricultural sector, supporting industry growth, and fostering positive relationships between agriculture and the wider community.
- Collaboration & Partnerships – Meaningful engagement with schools, community groups, industry associations, or local businesses to create opportunities and strengthen community ties.
- Long-Term Social & Economic Impact – A commitment to ongoing initiatives that enhance rural communities, improve livelihoods, or contribute to the sustainability and resilience of North Queensland’s agricultural sector.
This award celebrates those who go beyond the farm gate to support, strengthen, and uplift their communities, ensuring a vibrant and sustainable future for agriculture in North Queensland.
