Lifetime Contribution to Farming
This award recognises a dedicated farmer who has made a lasting impact on the agricultural industry through commitment, resilience, and leadership. It honours an individual who has contributed significantly to the success and sustainability of farming in North Queensland.
Nominees must demonstrate:
- Longstanding Commitment to Farming – A farmer who has dedicated many years to the industry, continuously producing high-quality food, while adapting to industry changes.
- Pioneering & Regional Impact – An individual who has brought new opportunities to the region, introduced innovative practices, or played a key role in developing North Queensland’s agricultural sector.
- Resilience & Adaptability – A farmer who has faced challenges and hardships, such as market fluctuations, climate variability, or industry changes, and successfully adapted their business to remain strong and viable.
- Mentorship & Industry Support – A leader who has mentored or supported other farmers, fostering collaboration, sharing knowledge, and strengthening the next generation of primary producers.
- Respected Across the Supply Chain – A farmer who is widely respected within the industry, known for their integrity, quality production, and strong relationships with suppliers, buyers, and the whole supply chain.
This award honours an individual whose legacy, leadership, and passion continue to shape the future of agriculture in North Queensland.
